The total length of the pipeline is over 400 kilometers, making it the longest hydrogen transmission pipeline in the country. After completion, it will be used to replace the existing fossil energy for hydrogen production in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, which has a strategic demonstration and leading role in the construction of cross regional hydrogen transportation pipelines in China.
On April 10th, Sinopec announced that the "West East Hydrogen Transmission" hydrogen pipeline demonstration project has been included in the "National One Network Construction Implementation Plan for Oil and Natural Gas", marking a new stage of development for long-distance hydrogen transmission pipelines in China. The "West East Hydrogen Transmission" starts in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and ends at Yanshan Petrochemical in Beijing. The pipeline has a total length of over 400 kilometers and is China's first cross provincial, large-scale, and long-distance pure hydrogen transmission pipeline. After the completion of the pipeline, it will be used to replace the existing fossil fuel hydrogen production and transportation hydrogen in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, greatly alleviating the problem of mismatched supply and demand of green hydrogen in China. It has a strategic demonstration and leading role in the construction of cross regional hydrogen transmission pipelines in China in the future, and helps China's energy transformation and upgrading.
The Sinopec Baling Changling hydrogen transmission pipeline, with a total length of 42 kilometers, is currently the longest hydrogen transmission pipeline built in China. The
