Design, optimize, and improve the electrical control system of the mechanical expanding machine for steel pipes with a diameter of 508-1422mm, a thickness of 8-40mm, and a length of 8-12.2m. Mechanical automatic expanding machine, with advanced hardware, stable control system performance, high degree of automation, complete alarm and various equipment protection; However, there are problems such as complex equipment structure, difficulty in maintaining electrical control system hardware and software, difficulty in debugging and writing, inability to automatically expand ultra short and ultra long steel pipes, and unsatisfactory efficiency in expanding ultra thin and ultra thick steel pipes. Through self-learning, I have gained a comprehensive understanding and mastery of the workflow, electrical design, hardware configuration, and PLC program of the German expanding machine. Based on this, I have designed and modified the expanding machine according to production needs.
Firstly, the working principle and process of the straight seam submerged arc welded pipe expanding machine were presented, and the equipment layout and functions of each process were described. Technical analysis and control scheme were designed for the intermittent delivery process of steel pipes during the expanding process. Secondly, the technical requirements for measuring the length of the steel pipe during expansion, calculating the number of expansion steps, and controlling the step of the clamp trolley have been determined. Provided the electrical hardware composition and on-site layout of electrical components for the expanding machine, control system circuit design, and PLC hardware configuration scheme. Once again, the relevant program for delivering steel pipes to the expanding machine clamp trolley was designed and written; Optimized the human-computer interaction interface; Design and write human-machine interface programs in both English and German as operating programs in three languages: Chinese, English, and German. Finally, after designing, programming, and optimizing the original electrical control system, the fully automatic expansion of the diameter machine for different specifications of straight seam submerged arc welded pipes such as ultra long, ultra short, thin wall, and thick wall was achieved; Equipment operation is simpler and maintenance is simpler; Improved the accuracy of steel pipe expansion and product quality, and enhanced the efficiency of production line operation.
